Domonique Baxter, a seasoned dance professional with over two decades of experience, discovered her passion for movement at age seven. This led her to audition for the Hightower Hi-Lites dance team, where she served as captain during her senior year after two years of dedicated membership. Following high school, Domonique attended Houston Community College, earning her Associate in Arts degree while simultaneously delving deeper into the professional dance scene. She became a member of esteemed dance companies such as Second Generation, Kuumba House Dance Theatre, and later BACE Productions, performing in the genres of modern, contemporary, African, jazz, and hip-hop. Her educational path continued at Sam Houston State University, where she majored in dance and minored in secondary education, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Driven by her passion for both dance and education, Domonique became the Dance Director of Bush High School and founded the Shadow Creek High School dance program. Recognized as an outstanding educator, she received accolades such as Rookie Teacher of the Year and a Teacher of the Year nomination. Furthering her education, she earned a Master of Education Administration degree from Lamar University. Remaining active in the dance community, Domonique adjudicates assessments, judges competitions, and collaborates with dance teams in the Houston area. Currently serving as a Middle School Dance Teacher across three campuses in Fort Bend ISD, Domonique is committed to cultivating artists with a strong creative vision and confident voices. She encourages students to embrace their individuality, strengths, and fearless self-expression through movement, empowering them to make a positive impact on stage and in their communities.
Dalanah Freeman, has a genuine passion for teaching and refining dancers' technique. She has spent many years exploring various styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, and pom. As the former captain of her high school dance team, Dalanah developed a strong dedication to teaching, perfecting routines, and enhancing dancers' techniques. During college, Dalanah expanded her experience as a choreographer and instructor while traveling and working with MA Dance Company. She also excelled as a dancer during her three years on the Sam Houston State National Champion Orange Pride Dance Team, growing both as a performer and leader. After graduating, Dalanah pursued her professional dance career as a Houston Texans Cheerleader and High School Dance Director. Currently, she works as a clinician for teams in the Houston and surrounding areas, teaches dance classes for both competitive and recreational purposes, and has been a dance director at George Bush High School and Shadow Creek High School. Both programs have achieved numerous successes under her guidance. Dalanah's primary goal is to share her love and knowledge of dance and performing arts, with a strong emphasis on technique, execution and performance quality. She is dedicated to helping dancers from all backgrounds achieve their aspirations. She is married to her best friend, Kevin, and they have a spunky one year old baby girl, Klover.
Eboni Wafer brings a wealth of experience in dance and education, with a Bachelor’s in Communications from Sam Houston State University, where she was a distinguished member of the award-winning Orange Pride Dance Team. During college, Eboni expanded her experience as a choreographer and instructor while working with MA Dance, further enriching her skills and passion for dance. Continuing her education, Eboni earned a Master’s in Education, specializing in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. While pursuing her Master’s, Eboni delved into the professional dance world, contributing her talents to the esteemed Urban Souls Dance Company. With a passion for teaching, she has dedicated many years to both elementary education and dance instruction, holding leadership positions within FBISD. Serving as Assistant Director at Hightower High School and Head Director at her alma mater, Elkins High School, where she also served as Lieutenant and Captain, Eboni played a key role in dance curriculum development and revision for Fort Bend ISD. Her commitment to education and dance culminated in the creation of Eb & Flow Wellness, where she emphasizes the healing potential of movement through dance and yoga, complemented by mindfulness and breathwork. With a dedication to enriching and educating others, Eboni aims to cultivate self-care, self-awareness, and empowerment in those she serves.
Heather's love for dance began at a young age grown from Louisiana roots. Upon moving to Texas, Heather joined the Elkins HS Elite Dance Team, where she served as Co-Captain and 2nd Lieutenant. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University, completing a minor in dance. Heather is a proud alumna and two-year member of the National Champion LSU Tiger Girls Dance Team (Geaux Tigers!). She also worked as a choreographer and dancer for the LSU Dance Ensemble for four years. Upon graduating college, Heather was a dancer for the Houston Dynamo Girls, Houston's major league soccer team. Heather served as a staff member of MA Dance teaching, choreographing, and judging for over 18 years. Heather had the honor of serving as a USASF Worlds Coach’s Liaison and a member of the USASF Leadership Team. Heather specializes in pom, jazz, professional development, and leadership. She travels nationally and internationally, working with educators and dancers. She has held various positions in education, including assistant director at Hightower HS, head director at Bush HS, and director and assistant director at Manvel HS. Heather served as the Fine Arts Department Head at Manvel HS and as an Assistant Principal at Stafford HS. As a graduate student, Heather obtained her Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Houston Baptist University. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate at the University of Houston, researching the Perspective of Black Parents on Alternative Education Settings. Heather is married to her best friend Larry and they have three children: Larry Jr., Nadya, and Jackson Lee.
